Question Recommendation: case for ext batt

I'm looking for a hard plastic case that covers the screen and/or a rubber sleeve that fits the extended battery... does one extist? I havent been able to find one online.
If not, has anyone used the metal case offered here on everythingq?

Thanks for any input.
Jeremy

When I first got my Q, I purchased several different flavors of cases online (many from e-bay). Here is the run-down:

Black Aluminum Case (search on e-bay for "Motorola Q Case Aluminum").
- Accomodates the extended battery (only one I've found so far that can)
- Built with very high quality
- Has a screen protector
- Has hinges to close around the Q
- Cons: Not cheap ($19?). and more importantly, the screen protector is "raised" up from the surface of the screen. Why is that bad? Because it makes the use of the soft-keys more difficult to get to (at least for me - I almost have to use my finger-nails to get them to work with that case on).

Various leather cases
- Cheap, many flavors, all fit snuggly with cutouts in the right place. Some even had plastic cover protection for the Q's keypad.
- Cons: Not as much protection as I would like. More importantly for the ones that had protection for the Q's keypad, this made it more difficult to use the keys to the left of the navigation pad ("home" key) and the right ("back" key). The reason being, when pressed, the plastic cover tended to bring down the raised navigation button if not careful.

Hard plastic shells
- All fit perfectly on the Q, various colors, some with belt clip functionality (even removable), some without (which I prefer).
- Very cheap (i.e. $4-5)
- Once on the Q, actually makes it look "better" in my opinion.
- Some (but not all) do protect the screen.
- Unlike the Aluminum case mentioned above, the screen protector lies flat as it nears the softkeys, making them much more useable.
- All ports available (except for the battery) with the case on.

- Cons: For me none. This is what I ended choosing. And I even bought a few spares for if/when they start getting scratched up. This case is ideal for me.
- Potential Cons for someone else:
1) The one I chose does not have a beltclip (but you can find ones that do have it).
2) It does mean the Q won't fit into cradles designed to hold it perfectly. I personally just modified my cradle's to make them work, so no big deal to me.
3) I have not yet found one with the ability to accomodate the extended battery. But battery life has not been an issue for me, so I can wait.
4) Would probably not survive a hard fall onto concrete. But what do you expect?

Hope this helps someone. The bottom line is the Aluminum ones advertised usually accomodate the extended battery. They are high quality and I'd personally be using it if not for the concern about kind of blocking the soft keys.
