I have the invisible shield full covering for my q9c and love it. It wont give your phone extra padding or anything if you drop it but it will help protect you against scratches and stuff. I love it, especially since they have a lifetime warranty. great company and product.

It fits well and has a great screen protector, it also has a wonderful finish which makes the phone feel very smooth. I had one similar to this for my Moto Q and love this one even more.

Can the belt clip come off the Monaco so it is smooth along the back? And does this fit with the extended battery or do they have an extended battery option?

I have used every option for protecting the Q9c and this is what I've found.

1. Generic smartphone pouch: It protects the phone very well and at least the front is clear so you can read the screen and even press the buttons. The downside is that "really" use the phone you have to take it out of the pouch. I probably use this case about 20% of the time.

2. Monaco Aluminum case for Q9c with extended battery from eBay: I LOVED this case when I first got it and I still really like it. The downside of this case is that it adds some weight to the phone and traps dust and dirt quite regularly. I had to take my phone out every day and spray the inside of the case with canned air to get all the crap out of it. Still a very good case and really protects the phone if you ever drop it. The built in screen protector is a definate bonus with this case.

3. InvisibleShield: I just recently ordered the invisible shield for the Q9c. Like everyone says, it really does a good job of protecting the phone from scratches, but really does nothing if you drop your phone. I have found that the best combo is invisible shield on the phone and then inside the Monaco aluminum case. Every now and then I get sick of the added bulk of the case and just carry the phone around in my pocket, but you can bet your a** I am extra careful to make sure not to drop my phone on those days.

Hope this helps anyone trying to decide what route to take to protect their phone!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong here...

http://www.boxwave.com/products/flex...a-q9c_2943.htm

Eh... if the pictures are any proof, the camera and flash are off and theres no fantastic battery hump, but specifies the q9c. There isn't another iteration of the q9c that had a standard battery, is there?

I've been sending emails to companies (Boxwave, Speck) about a case for the extended batt. editions to see if we can expect anything in the form of a case. I'll keep you posted.

I just received an email from Franco at Speck. They will have a plastic case out at the end of the month, but no ToughSkin at this time.

I guess this has been debated in another thread. Boxwave offers a full refund including shipping if it is determined as wrong, so I went ahead and ordered one.
