Default Problems Ordering From Vaja

Hey all,
I'm a recent new Q owner and have been lurking on the boards for awhile, but this is my first actual post. About a month before I got my Q I ordered a "Classic" case from Vaja and was told it would take 7-15 calendar days to manufacture and ship it. This time period went by and I received no word on when I'd be getting the case. I emailed customer service and they told me that due to high demand it would be delayed, but would be sent soon. I waited another week and then emailed again. Again customer service replied that there was a delay and that if I wanted a refund they would be happy to give it me, but that it should be a maximum of 10-12 calendar days and then I'd get the case.

Since I've always wanted a Vaja case I decided to just wait it out. Tomorrow it will have been 12 days since I got that email and still nothing from customer service. It seems like the only time I get a message from them is when I send one myself. It has now been about a month and a half and I still have nothing. I had to go out and get a cheap $10 silicon suit and leave the plastic on the screen so it wouldn't get scratched up.

Has anyone else had similar experiences with Vaja? I've always heard about how their cases are top quality and that they are a great company to deal with, but so far my experience has been less than great, especially for such an expensive case. Hopefully I'll have it by the end of this week or I think I will be asking for my money back.

That is the disadvantage of ordering a custom-made case. I love Vaja products, but dislike the wait time. This does seem overly long though. Unfortunately the only options I see are to keep waiting or cancel the order.

I've bought 2 cases from Vaja, both for MP3 players. Each time they were delivered within the approx timeframe. I think there has been a pretty big explosion of people ordering the Q and since Vaja cases are high quality, perhaps they have felt the same overload of orders.
It does suck to have to wait that long for it, I know I wanted mine the next day....LOL. From what I remember, they send you an email once the item is shipped, but you won't get any other update emails from them.

I actually had the exact same problem with Vaja when I ordered a case for my treo(back in those treo days). However, my problem took place around Chirstmas time, which of course was their excuse for the delay. I emailed them literally every other day until I received my case. They credited me back the shipping cost, but the case was still 2 weeks late.

You just have to decide whether you think the case is worth the wait or not. Personally, I think it is.

I too had issues with waiting for my custom vaja for the 650. Took them about 3 weeks past their original quote and their customer updates are pretty much non existant. They SUCK when it comes to customer service. Luckily their products however are certainly the best out there.

Yep. I had the same thing with my Classic Case for the Q. I had to nag them several times via email. Finally, they sent it to me marked "Not for resale for individual use only". I think they they overnighted it to me or something, so the shipping must have been more than I paid for.

The case itself is a work of art. It's just that it took about a month and a half to get here.

I experienced the exact same situation as you. I decided to gut it out and wait anxiously for my Vaja flip case and am extremely happy I did. Custom-made....it's definitely worth the wait!

They will e-mail you with a Fed Ex tracking number once your product is ready to ship. So you'll know when to finally expect the arrival of your case.
