Default mini or micro? HUH?

Im going tomorrow to buy a bigger card for my Q.

Why did it come with a micro sd card and an adapter? why didn't it just come with a mini sd card?

So should I get a mini or a micro?

From what ive read, don't get a SDHC?

any other advice?

Thanks, Duke

Basically, I would buy whichever has the best price.

I haven't really seen the mini SD cards around. I have a 4gb mico SDHC and it works fine, once I installed the SDHC.cab file.

Nice, I can't wait till the larger cards come out. You can still find the mini, it just takes some looking.

I'm a firm believer is buying the micro with adaptor especially if you get a larger more expensive card because the miniSD is not widely used. You probably won't be able to use your card with your next phone if it's a miniSD card.

Sound advice. I'm just glad that the Q9c is fully SDHC compliant out of the box.

However they do sell miniSD to SD adapter so the card could be used with anything that takes a standard SD card (like tons of digital cameras).

Future proofing basically. The q9h uses micro only where the q8 and q9m have a mini slot. Lots of other phones use micro so adding the adapter to the mini slot q's makes it easier for the providers to only need to stock a micro card and gives you a better chance of using your card with your next phone.

Default Mins SD Formatting

I can't get my phone to see the mini sd card when I insert it. Does anyone know where to activate it? I've tried two different cards so I hope there is nothing wrong with the phone. Any info. would help. Thanks!

if it's 4G SDHC, then you need to ensure you have the appropiate driver to support it if your phone doesn't already have it.

re the original thread, I would say forget about mini, and just get micro. Most of the new phones today (not just WM6 phones) are already adopting micro over mini, you dont' want to buy one just for your current phone and have it thrown away later.
