Default I found a great case for my Q9m....BUT....

I've tried many cases for the Moto Q9m: soft cases, leather cases, skins, and armored. The extended battery presents a problem and I'm abusive to my phone as I'm mobile all day.

So I found this:

http://www.boxwave.com/products/armo...ic-9m_2918.htm

Awesome fit, door stays shut, keys accessible, protection for screen

B U T.....

Now my reception is terrible. I have to be outside or find that right location and not move if I'm in a store or at home.

I don't suppose that there's any way to boost reception?!
If there was, I'm sure I'd develop an equilibrium problem or growth in my brain with all the talk about harmful rays......

What's a Q user to do !??!?!

hmmmm...metal between the internal antenna and the towers....no wonder you have signal issues Putting a phone with an internal antenna into a case that is made of metal is a big no-no if you don't want a considerable amount of signal loss.

It's too bad that you found the case of your dreams only to find it kills the sig. I wish I could suggest a solution, but the only one that will allow the phone to work as it should is to ditch the case!

Good luck!

Not true, you can buy a signal booster (not sure if thats what its called) but its an antenna basically th at sticks to your phone, you can get it for your phone and you plug it in, wireless, but its incredibly ugly. Something you might want to consider.
Good luck

the only way I've seen to boost reception (that actually works anyway) are either antennas that plug into a port on your phone (the Q9 series has none) or buying a repeater (basically a mini cell tower) that has an antenna that you place in an area with decent signal (i.e. your roof) and it rebroadcasts signal to the nearby repeater (inside your house) unfortunately those are usually expensive

Don't you think if those stick on "signal boosters" actually worked...they would already be installed in every cell phone by the manufacturer? Don't believe the hype...sometimes commercials don't always tell the truth

amen! if you read the packaging on the sticky ones they have to go under the battery, but they also say that you aren't supposed to cover the "antenna" while using the phone. I ask you, how then are you supposed to hold the phone?

I see what your saying man but it was not on a commercial, it was not being advertised really at all. It was not too cheap either. And it is big and bulky. They say things that sound too good to be true are not true. That sounds like the point you are trying to make. But this does not sound all that good does it?
We all do have different opinions though.
