Default How to use my Moto Q with GPS w/o another GPS display.

I'm just getting started with the Moto Q from alltel and need to know how to use it as a GPS on the Moto Q display with just Software and a reciever or transciever. At first I'll use the Google Maps or similar to get maps as needed through the wed service but woul dlike an inexpensive GPS Moto Q.

From what I'm seeing in web searching it seems that there are 3rd party GPS option but they essentially have their own GPS display and such which negates the minimimal approach I want which is too by Software that makes my Moto Q a live GPS device when needed with out too many extra accessories to buy. Can I do this with a software from Handango and a reciever and ready to go live GPS?

So has anyone done this and what did work for the live GPS feature I want? Has anyone used a bluetooth receiver and some 3rd party software to make the Moto Q a turn-by-turn GPS unit?

Thanks in advance for all guidance.

Lots of thread here on this....the answer is yes.

First you need a BT GPS receiver then you have 2 ways to go.

First although not the best is use it with Windows Live Search or Google Maps. (I like WLS) You'll need unlimited data.

Second is 3rd party software like Route 66 or CoPilot....these cost but have thier own maps and voice directions where the free one only beep and you have to watch the screen.

A lot depends on how much you travel and how much you want to spend.

Again search for some of the above terms and there's a lot written about receivers and solutions.

Thanks for the confident YesI Can, so now I'll do the research and try the low cost version first as I will only use it occassionally.

Thanks DrQ
