Default Gps

I would like to know if the CoPilot Live that is sold in the Q Store uses the internet on my Q? I know this is probably considered very lame, considering I have a phone that is made to use the internet, but I blocked internet/data usage on my phone.

Please clue me in as to whether using CoPilot would require a data plan. If so, is there any form of GPS for my Q that would work without data usage?

Thanks, and sorry for the lame question.

If I am not mistaken CoPilot goes by maps that are stored on a miniSD card that comes with it. So I do not believe it uses data.

It requires a seperate bluetooth GPS receiver. I think you can get the CoPilot bundled with a receiver or just the maps on a 1gb card. I purchased this receiver: http://tinyurl.com/q319w but have yet to receive it. If only you could pay to download just the maps so I can load them on a larger card.

I haven't tried it yet, but I suspect you could copy the files from the 1GB to the PC to a 2GB miniSD card and it would still work.
