external antenna

can anyone reccomend a good external one? I'm on the road 5 days a week and sometimes in a spot with poor signal. Thus making it difficult to do any web stuff...thanks

something like that, just mostly looking for something simple that i dont need and amp and a few hundred bux to make work. I will keep on looking...thanks

nope, done a lot of mechanic work. You would be suprised what one can fix with those 2 things. Wilson does make a lot of direct connect antennas, just a matter of finding 1 that fits the Q. they usually run about $20-30

uhm... i was joking. anyway... yea, i know you can fix and whatnot with Kentucky Chrome as my BIL calls it :}

I recently bought an Impala from the state and it came wired for and older carphone with an external antenna, headliner mic and speaker passthrough. Anyone know if it would be possible to splice it to work with my Q? It shouldn't be too hard to wire for the headphone jack huh?

Hiya,

I read a few of the forum posts before purchasing my wife a Moto Q. From this thread I got the idea that an external antenna could be attached to the Q - although finding an antenna might not be easy. Anyway, I bought the phone from a US Cellular retail outlet, and the sales guy said there was no jack for an external antenna.

So, I'm confused. The "experts" says it can't be done. You users seem to be trying to figure out which antenna can be used to do it. Is there a jack on the Moto Q for an external antenna to plug in?
