Default Car Charger for Moto Q 9h

I just bought a Moto Q 9h; which is my first smart phone, and I'm a little overwhelmed by all it does. One of the things I always like to have with any cell phone is a car charger, but I am having trouble determining the correct one for this new phone. On the Motorola site they will display an available charger but when I select it and the click on "Select Your Phone to Determine Compatibility", they respond with " This product is not available for your selected phone" (even though it's listed under the Moto Q 9h).

I know that there is a charger in the everythingQ store, but I can't find it on the Motorola site to check compatibility. I am a little gun-shy about trying something not approved by Motorola as I recently fried an expensive professional digital timer using a charger that was "not" approved and I don't want to damage this phone.

I'd greatly appreciate knowing of anybody who is using a car charger they can recommend? If so, where did you get it and what is the model number? Thanks.

no Q9h uses micro USB. even though there's a mini to micro USB adapter, I won't recommend it because a few of us have problem with charging (no charge) with mini-USB based charger.

I would strongly advise buying those micro-USB charger ones.

Along the same lines, does anybody else have problems bringing their phone from the dead with a car charger? My phone battery does not want to be charged by my car charger when it's completely empty.

Instead, the Motorola emblem just keeps flashing, it's as if what little power the battery gets keeps being used up rather than being stored.

I have the car charger that has a big glowing blue emblem when it's plugged in, if that's any help....

Anyway if any of you don't have that problem, please point me in the direction of a charger that can do the job.

Thanks!

if your battery is totally drained, the phone will not turn on while charging. Did you check what's the maximum amp your charger can draw? I notice that it needs 850ma, I have one that's 400ma and another 500ma and they both don't work.

I have a Q9m that refuses to take a charge from a car charger similar to what you have described, except that it now occurs pretty much no matter what the battery level is. It exhibits no problems at all when the power is coming from a desktop USB port or from the wall wart
