Belt Clip for Black Q - Motorola Q Forum

I went to the Verizon store to get the black plastic (rubberized) belt clip for the new black Q and was told that the black Q is slightly thicker than the silver model and Motorola does not make a belt clip that fits the black one. Can anyoneconfirm whether Motorola, Seido or anyone else makes a clip that specifically fits the Black Q (and ideally faces the Q inward)?

I use the sedio clip with my black Q and love it. I do agree that the silver is very slightly thinner, and that may cause a problem with the stock clips. I've had my Sedio for a month or 2 now and there is no sign of wear on my Q.

one of the sedio holsters is supposed to be used with a clear case. i have an ebay'd smoke case that barely fits my sprint q, and i hope that the sedio holster fits.

If you go to verizon and order the clip for the silver q and use it. that;s what i did and it works great. No problems and no extra wear and tear from the clip.

I like the Sedio since it holds the Q face in, I can sacrafice a little wear and tear at the top of my phone if my screen stays scratch free. Do the ones you speak of hold the Q face in?

yes the screen of my q faces in. it works great. and since the screen faces in there is no problems with the extended battery either. only the back o the phone is exposed. if the people at verizon give you crap because their system says that the clip isn't for the black q they are full of it. the lack and silver q's are the same size.

I had the Seido holster clip too and loved the fact that it was easy to get in and out and allowed the Q to face inward with the extended battery. BUT the clip broke off after only 2 weeks!!!! granted, this was 1 week plus longer than the other 3 cheap holsters I purchased. I thought by spending more I would get better quality. This was not the case. (no pun intended)

I wear the Q on my belt and the holster gets caught on every chair, car set, etc. that I sit on. The clip gives way and breaks off. I am now looking for a better solution for the Q with extended 3200 battery. Any suggestions are welcome. I would like something with a nice quality clip that won;t break off and allows easy access to the Q. Thanks.

Maybe just stop walking into stuff?
