Default Anyone else with a 6gb card?

I have one, Q only see 2gb of it. My 4gb sdhc card works fine.

Looking to see if anyone else, hopefully with a Q9/QM has tried one yet with any success.

Thx

Default So are you saying the Moto Q can see 4GB is SDHC type?

I'm about to get the Moto Q(basic Mobile 5.0) and want to go beyond the 2GB barrier...is this a real world approach by using a certain type of miniSD such as the SDHC?

Thanks

If your want to use a 4gb on your basic Q it must be a non-SDHC. SDHC is recently reported to work with a new hack. There a long thread on 4gb cards with (2) suppliers that seem to have a good success rate. One is Memory Suppliers and the other was SellBuz from Boston on Ebay. They are both referenced in that thread. I bought the "SellBuz TopRam 4gb Card for Moto Q" and have been using it for months with great success.

All due respect, there are tons of threads regarding 4gb cards, etc.

Lets just keep this one about the 6 gigger.

Thx

Sorry ur right...just trying to point the new guy in the right direction. I'm awaiting an answer to your question too. You seem to be on the cutting edge of trying stuff and hope you can get it to work.

Anybody out there with a 6gb that can help Webcrush out.

Default But of course 6GB, but how do I know I can use more than 2GB on Moto Q basic?

My intention was to get real-world experience on what the Moto Q Mobile 5.0 can truely read for more than 2GB as Alltel is stating but I expect theres a way around this and needed such experience.

Should I be posting this type of question elswhere on this forum as I will do so if suggested.

Thanks again.

Well, I finally found a clue:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9434

Looks like the older dll's worked up to 4gb and the new ones posted here handle larger amounts.

In fact, those with the 6gb card were only seeing shy of 2gb, JUST LIKE ME.

I upgraded to the new dll's praying the problem would be solved, but no dice--killed my SD access altogether. Putting the first batch of sdhc dll's got me back running, but something is up.

I'm hoping the Luv2Chill guy can help me out.

Which Q do you have? I have the Q9h aka Q Global with a 6GB card formatted with the built in app works great.

1st gen Q.

Another report was that the Q9h and Q9m were given SDIO which the 1st gen 1 supposedly doesn't have is what is the difference.
