Does anyone know if it would be possible to completely turn off the "assisted" function of the aGPS, so that I don't use data? I mean, if someone wrote a small server that ran locally and then set up the GPS chip to use 127.0.0.1 or LOCALHOST as the AGPS IP address, you could set this server to return location information that is somewhat accurate, and then the GPS chip would connect to satellites and correct itself.
