Hello All,
First post in this forum. Just wanted to throw a couple of items into the soup. First off, just got my xv6900 GPS working perfectly - I did the radio upgrade and roms a while back and was going crazy with poor gps performance - until yesterday stumbled across the "big fix" at xda. Anyway, been checking back to see if any progress has been made on the q9c (wife's phone) so I was reading this thread. Just wondering if the anyone has looked closely at the xda fix to see if it would be helpfull here. captron7779 suggests "I think the best approach is to look more into the GPSOne chip, and see if we can find any way to reflash it, or change the config tables". At xda, the "big fix" is to use QPST to modify settings for GPSOne. Not sure the solution is geared toward the q, not sure how to enter into DMR mode on the Q and not sure if the cab file provide was would work on the Q. anyway thought it might be worth a try. here is the link to xda solution. btw, QPST appears to offer a checkbox to enable or disable GPSOne entirely, again worth looking at.
