What link are you referring to? I don't see anything in your signature except "Ray in PA" and a smiley. ;)

Can someone give me a really quick summary, of what v6.1 gains us over v6.0? I guess I'm confused on this.

Hello All,

First post in this forum. Just wanted to throw a couple of items into the soup. First off, just got my xv6900 GPS working perfectly - I did the radio upgrade and roms a while back and was going crazy with poor gps performance - until yesterday stumbled across the "big fix" at xda. Anyway, been checking back to see if any progress has been made on the q9c (wife's phone) so I was reading this thread. Just wondering if the anyone has looked closely at the xda fix to see if it would be helpfull here. captron7779 suggests "I think the best approach is to look more into the GPSOne chip, and see if we can find any way to reflash it, or change the config tables". At xda, the "big fix" is to use QPST to modify settings for GPSOne. Not sure the solution is geared toward the q, not sure how to enter into DMR mode on the Q and not sure if the cab file provide was would work on the Q. anyway thought it might be worth a try. here is the link to xda solution. btw, QPST appears to offer a checkbox to enable or disable GPSOne entirely, again worth looking at.

Default So does GPS work with 6.1 on verizon

I've done a quick test with 6.1 and live search on a co-workers phone but it did nothing it still hung at getting position. Anyone have this working now that the new OS has been released. As I have a great deal of software on my Q I'm not eager to blow it all away if the GPS still isn't working.

Yeah, and the other nice thing they've done is have figured out a way to make this handset not work with tower triangulation and google maps too.. Real nice of them...
