The TeleNav software I downloaded did not say it was for a Q9 version, just Motorola Q. The Q uses WM5. The TeleNav site states that for this version, you must have an external GPS. I am not sure if they intended the "Q" version to be the original Q with WM5 or not, but that is how I interpreted it. Therefore, I asked about the WM6 version.

On my Q9c, I could not pair my Bluetooth GPS with my phone. There did not seem to ba an option to add devices. There are only options for adding a hands-free device, a headset, or a keyboard. You can also join a personal network, or add PIM synchronization. My guess is that Verizon disabled the ability to add a generic device so that you can not use an external GPS (just as they have disabled the internal GPS).

You are correct! I forgot about that menu buried deep inside.

So all the TeleNav software did for me was find that menu and pair my receiver after I failed to find it myself.

I still think there is potential for the TeleNav software to help us enable the internal GPS.

Ok I dont know if i missed this in the thread (because its a really long thread) but could anyone find a driver that the VZnav has that enables the GPS chip?

Just my thoughts,
Connor
