Installed Telenav but don't have an account so I can't login to test the GPS functionality.

I bought mine at http://www.buygpsnow.com

It was a special close-out price:

GlobalSat BT 328 SiRF GSC2 High Performance Bluetooth GPS (BT-328)

SubTotal: $28.45
Shipping: $9.00
Grand Total: $37.45

I did a quick check on the site, and did not see any deals as good as mine, but you can still find receivers for less than $50. Also, if you register for forum access on their site, you can get a 5% discount code. I don't remember how it works, but if you search the forum, you should be able to find it.

Go to the Telenav website and sign upfor the free trial. Make sure you tell them you are using Sprint even if you are not. Then you should be able to evaluate the software and see if you like it. This is what I did and I actualy got the first 2 monthsfor free somehow though I pay for it now.

With this new one I downloaded the AT&T software and it would not let me use my external GPS antenna so I inserted my MiniSD card from the old one (which is where I had the old Sprint stuff loaded) and walla!

Since it worked that way, I re-downloaded the Sprint software for the old Q but on my new Verizon Q9c so that I had a completely fresh install (still using the memory card again rather than the built in memory) and this thing works like a champ. I dont mind the extra 10 bucks as I have been paying it for months already anyway. I love the Telenav service... even if I had to do a workaround at least no "hacks" were required. I just opened up the .cab file and loaded it to my storage card.

Here is the link to download the software:

Again - If this was already posted on here please do forgive... I don't remember seeing it though.

I have not tried googlemaps but I just loaded Live Search with default settings and it didn't work. Then I changed the settings in Live Search to com-1 and it works no problem... Again, no hack work required.

My fault; I missed where you said you were using an external GPS antenna. The hack is for the internal GPS that comes with the Q9c

Yeah I know that's what the hacks are for... I just didnt see this option described on this thread for the VZ Q9c. I was hoping that my Telenav would work with this phone and was able to get it to work... that's basically all I was hoping to share.

I signed up for the 30day trial.
It keeps searching for a Bluetooth receiver and no means to configure it otherwise.

Actually, I am glad you added this post as an interim solution. I was not able to get my Bluetooth GPS to work until I read your post. I installed the TeleNav software, and it connected to my GPS receiver. I then started Live Search, and it also was able to connect. Now I uninstalled TeleNav, rebooted my phone, and I am still able to connect with Live.

It appears that this might be a possible route to solving the internal GPS problem. If TeleNav allows me to connect to my external GPS when I could not before, maybe the same software will allow us to connect to the internal GPS. I saw on the site that the software supports the Q9h. I did not see the Q9c, however.

To get my external GPS to work, I used the version for the Q. That version expected an external GPS, and it was able to find one. Maybe if we experiment with a version that expects an internal GPS, it will work.

I did have some difficulty convincing the site that I had the proper phone/carrier combination. Does anyone have a downloaded version that will run on any WM6 phone? I think that you would still need to register at TeleNav to get it to work, but getting the software seems like the first step.

I would have attached the .cab file, but it is almost 500kB zipped, so it can not be attached.

As I said, I installed and ran the AT&T version and it worked except it would not pickup GPS and does not allow for an external GPS.

You asked if anyone has it installed on a WM6 phone? That's what is on all Q9's I thought? Mine sure is and as I said it works flawlessly. I think to bypass the online account setup woes I called in to get my service going and told them I was using the Sprint Q (legacy)... no questions were asked and I have had no problems.

For the person having pairing issues... You first have to pair your receiver in the bluetooth manager. Once that is done you should be able to link up NP.

Another nice feature of Telenav is that you can add your locations online from a computer if you want, sorta like a trip planner. Then save them to Fav's. Next time you start Telenav on your device all those location automatically load to your phone.

One more tip... if y'all have not tried the Skyfire beta browser, you're missing out. It loads EVERYTHING & FAST!
