Searched and searched..Change profile name?

I had this on original Q but I am unable to find the hack to change the profile name on home screen...

Could someone please direct me to the page, thank you.

Also, I did a master reset on the original Q before I gave it up and the profile name I changed it to is still there...????....

I figured with a master reset it would put it back to factory.. wondering why it is still on there.

a hack to change the profile name on the homescreen ? the plugin in the .xml updates what is displayed when you change the profile... or am i not understanding it correctely ?

On the homescreen it says
"Profile:Normal"

I had it say
"TedStriker:Normal"

oh... think you can "hard code" that in th homescreen .xml..

na.... i'm 100% I went into the registry.. I am sure i found it on PDAphonehome so i'm searching there and browsing the registry hoping to stumble on it...

well if you want it to say something else go to settings than profiles than edit one and change the name . .else edit the xml files will work . .it is farely easy language to learn or just tinker with

Rudeboy (and taseedorf) are correct. That change that you want to make is coded in the XML file. You'll have to copy the XML of your choice to your PC, open it with Notepad, and edit the appropriate section.

It's not a registry edit.

For instance, this screen I posted yesterday:



has this section in the XML:

That is where you would change it to read "TedStriker"
