Remove On-Call Green Screen?

I'm on Telus and I want to get rid of the green screen and possibly change it to white, grey, or black. Has anyone done this?

it's just the in-call screen ? (can not view attachments on the Q on EQ) find the screen in the Windows directory, rename the one you wanna use and overwrite... walah, i did all my screens.

I've found the file. For all Telus users the green screen background when In-Call is found here:

\Windows\telus_cprogback.png

what pic are you now using?

also, do I just rename any other image file to the name above and replace it in the same directory?

welcome aboard....

yes, just replace file.. (make sure to reset the attributes of the original else you can not copy over it)

thanks very much for the info. quick question....does it have to be *.png file?

This site is awesome. I can honestly say that having this level of support persuaded me even more to get the Q.

I just got it on Monday but have been on this site for a month or so.

i believe so... but i am with Verizon and they use .gif and .jpg..

I took the green screen file and just changed it to a gray colour to match my theme using the exact dimensions. You can customize this image to your liking and just make sure it has the same file name.

Has your question been answered veedub?

It's really good to have a forum supporting this phone, I would've returned the Q a long time ago if it wasn't for the level of customization and capability. If Telus only offered an affordable unlimited data plan ($30 add-on )

did you change the other screens like volume, startup, shutdown?

telus has an unlimited data plan for 15/month
