I've read thru this entire thread and I couldnt figure out what needs to be done for the q9h. I'm also running 6.1
I would love to see if I can get a speed boost and compare battery life.

Did the the threshold and program memory hack and the phone feels great.

I tried the profile hack befor but kills the battery in less than a day. Does is any one know if there is an in between # for the profile hack?

0 to 5, I believe. I'm currently using 5 as the profile type and get at least 2 days out of my battery, even with 200+ text messages, about an hour or two of voice per day (total), and browsing the web (...to check email, forums, etc.). I loved the performance increase 0 gives you, but I'm not always around a charger to have it dying on me in less than a day.

Like I said: battery life seems better. I,m happy with it.
I just hard reset the phoen and also found a registry entry along the lines of "disable13mhzmode" and changed that too (: I figured it couldn't hurt. Much anyway.

Default Q9 h hack for speed?

Found this on another site - any HACK experts have any thoughts on what this does?

Speed Hack
1) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE -> change limit from 16384 to 32768
2) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\STORAGEMANAGER\FATFS-> change cachesize to 4096

found here:
http://nitschke.wordpress.com/2007/1...egistry-hacks/

I have not tried it yet and hope to get some insight first.
Thanks

The 9cs have the glyphcache at 65xxx already. I did the other and can't honestly say +'ve seen any difference. That's the thing about registry hacks, they might make a slight difference or else you think the manufacturer would've done them. The CPU might be an exception were they might've been concerned about battery life.

The 13mhz hack might be causing me problems, I'll have to undo it and see. My IE is pulling 100% of the cpu on large pages.

I wonder if using the extended battery would alleviate some of the battery grief that this hack creates.

I am amazed that people are getting 2 days of use from their batteries. I am assuming that it's the extended battery, but even mine doesnt give me 2 days/48 hours.

my battery life is much better on my Q9m since my upgrade to WM 6.1. I actually find myself on the web alot more and using a lot more apps that access the web. I also receive about 50 emails per day, 10-15 texts, 20-30 calls and I can pretty much go the whole day and only drop 1 bar on the standard battery. I have not applied these hacks on 6.1 yet - I kind of forgot about them since 6.1 is snappier than 6.0 already!
