Just did this, with Resco it was VERY easy.... WOW, the phone boots faster, runs faster, everything!!!!

I was VERy skeptical, but all I can say is WOW!!!!!

What program do you use to access the registry files on the Q?? I am having a pretty hard time figurunbg that out. Does your IE also run pretty slow for bieng an EVDO??

Download Resco Explorer here...

Install it on your phone & then run the Resco Registry application that's included. Just go back to the first post in this thread and it'll tell you which reg entries to edit. Navigage out to them using that application & make your changes. It's pretty simple stuff.

I just purchased Resco Explorer 2005 and did this hack, and I agree -- HUGE difference, the phone is FAST now! SWEET!

When you installed Resco you also need to install "Registry Edit". For some reason it doesn't do this automatically. But it prompts you to do it. You have to select the check box to install the Reg Edit.

Once you have this installed, then launch the Registry Editor. When you're there, the instructions in the first post in this thread will make much more sense.

So i downloaded the cab file, and not the windows file. I put it on my phone, but I can only open the explorer from the resco folder. The Rviewer file will not open. What shoud I be looking for to get to my registry fles?

video is a lot less choppy but I still gethe occasional stutter but its alot better but I had to DL the AEconfig program to unlock it and then I did jsut fine with the values.. any more suggestions to ge the video to work faster wouldbe great I run at 368 kb/s WMV files and they seem to work great with the Q.

MAn oh man...I wanna do this speed hack, but i cant find the darn registry changer with resco. I have Resco in the phone, I can open it, but I only have the options for an explorer. No registry Editor. When I installed it also, I never got the option of a registry editor....Please help me- I would love to be able to try this hack! thank you my fellow Q's
