Changed - CacheSize to 4096. They work great to boost performance and such but there is one drawback. It breaks the Internet!!! After I do them I try to load a page with either Opera or IE and the both error out with connection problems. My old phone a Samsung BlackJack did the same thing but it could be worked around by a restart or turning off and on the wireless. I am using PHM to edit the registry and it does not give any errors while doing the changes. If I restore the registry after the problem starts It still wont work until I pull the battery.
I would really like the Q to be faster as it needs a lil more speed but if it breaks the Internet why have more speed? I also have checked the GPRS and Proxy settings against what AT&T says they should be. |
Are you saying that this happens periodically? Or are you saying it's permanently down as in you cannot get on the internet anymore again, ever? Have you restarted/rebooted the phone after the hack? If you have, are you still experiencing this downed connection? Truth is, a lot of people are using the hack and there hasn't been too many issues with it. I'm not sure if the speed increase is enough to be considered "significant" and personally wouldn't worry about it too much. Check the settings and look around to see if anyone else is experiencing similar issues after the hack. Try restarting the phone and see if that clears things up.
