Okay who can tell me where the incoming calls and in call screens are? - Motorola Q Forum

Okay, so I found the Yell, ques, volume, info and exclaimantion screens

. But i can not for the life of me find the incoming call and in call screens in the Registry (using Resco)to change them. I don't want to replace them completely, just for time being

.

I need the exact locations.

they should be in the \Windows\ directory.. is hidden files on ?

Yes, i have the hidden files off. I have looked and have not found any of the screens in the windows dir.

Where would they be in the Registry? What is the location?

i don't know where they are in the registry (i have replaced the images with success on my Q1)... this post/thread on Qusers talks about it, it also depends on which carriers, different carriers have been known to use different names,

I have a sprint Q (the black model). what is the exact name of the default screens for incoming and in call screens? So i can replace them in the windows\......file?

you're going to 1. find them (i don't have Sprint) or 2. send me the phone.. i'll find it/them for you :}

I guess i'll take door number 1 rudeboy. I can't afford to be without my phone for how ever long it takes you to find what we are talking about. Thanks anyways.

okay, door #1 it is... :} it will not help you probably but here is my backup of original Verizon "system" screens.

its not a matter of finding them..its a matter of replacing them...the qusers site thread tells you where they are for sprint phones...basically you can make your own images..rename appropriately to the correct files, and place them in your windows directory....change mine weekly..

I have been playing around in the window directory and have found the correct name for these screens (i didn't know what each screen was called, so it was alittle hard to change something that you didn't know the name of,Verizion and ATT phones have different names or locations). The Qusers site spoke of changing the registry location, and so i did find some of the locations, but could not find the in call and incoming call screens.And since i started off changing the registry, then that's what i was doing. Then i read that you can just change the ROM and i wasn't sure if i was cool with that (cause i didn't want to mess up my phone). But then i couldn't find them in the registry to relocate, so didn't have a choice. So now i have changed them, by renaming and moving to the windows directory. It's quite easy now (i've been looking for cool pics to try out to see which ones look better). And i have noticed that with some of the screens, the change is instant, no need to reboot.

The is only one screen now that is on the list of the Quser site,but i never see come up on my Q, it's the snyc screen. when my phone is snyc'd it never shows this screen and it looks cool. No big deal, i am content with the new look my phone has now, makes me fall in love with it all over again. And these sites are the shite! Laters and thanks for your input.
