Moto Q Email On Card .. Keep Reverting..

Hello ..

I'm having a similar problem as described here.

Problem is that I have made all the correct registry settings, but they fail to take effect on reboots.

On the original founders page I see one poster suggests

To resolve the reboot issue, remove the mail app from the Today screen from showing. It is starting before the sim card, hence it overwrites. I then tweaked my softkeys to give me a shortcut to mail instead of contacts etc..my TMobile MDA does the same thing. That way, the mail app on the Today screen won't start and overwrite and create new folders locally again. Try and see what happens, worked for me on other devices that has same issue.

How can I remove the mail app and is this truly the reason to the problem?

I'm using a Moto Q (older version WM5) with VZW.

Any help is appreciated..
