Default Linux anyone

I'm looking for a way to connect my MotoQ to my Linux laptop. Syncing would be good, but I.d be satisfied with just being able to transfer files and browse the device.

Any ideas

I have not tried BT yet. I was hoping to find a way to use USB and keep from having to buy yet another USB thingy to carry with me.
I've read that BT will work, though. I was just hoping for another solution.
