Welcome to EQ.

You could always do a registry back up and then try it! If it doesn't work just do a registry restore. But to be honest I think this is a Verizon deal.

I can not find the proper link in the registry.. I dont have cellular line under hkey\local machine\ I only have cellular as an option... Any help is appreciated!!! Thanks

Edit this registry key: HKEY\Comm\Cellular Line\Parms\TcpIp\DNS

Default values are:
  • 66.174.95.44
  • 69.78.96.14
Change them to:
  • 208.67.222.222
  • 208.67.220.220
Blazing improvement![/quote]

- what do you do to succesfully browse with the open_dns settings? thanks.
To fix this you have to open the internet and visit a website first. Then navigate back to home and open the reg editor. Change the DSN settings and then navigate back to IE and revisit a site. You will notice a speed change and it will stick. The moment you restart the phone or close IE (kill app) you will have to redo the steps above to get the setting to stick again.
Hope this Helps.

Well I have a Black Q and it comes with the MOL2 update, and I have recently hard reset it... After I did that I couldnt find HKEY>Comm>Cellular Line>Parms>TcpIp
So I just browsed various websites, including music.avvenu.com, and i think what really made that Key come up in the registry was when i set up my AIM email account and recieved and sent mail, forcing it to connect differently
