installing .cabs - Motorola Q Forum

Does anyone have the problem that .cabs take a long time to even start installing? I am trying install SKToolsLite and it hasn't started yet, and it has been a couple of minutes. This happens to a few of my .cabs. Any help would be much appreciated. And then when that happens I click any button and only the backlight appears and it seems like it freezes like that. Weird.

do you maybe have alot of things running in the background?

No I have nothing running in the background, at least when I go to task manager there is nothing running. Is there anything else that runs in the background, where to look? Also what can I do when my backlight is on and nothing else happens?

you can try a reboot and then install
im not sure why this cab would take so long to install

I am never in a hurry but I see a problem when I try install a .cab and it still does nothing in over 5 minutes, and I click on any button, even the home button and only the backligh appears. That seems to be a problem for me.

Thanks Scott. The only way I can reboot when my backlight is on, is to take the battery out. And sometimes when I do that, it stalls loading windows and it freezes before the time appears.

Do you have an .exe for SKToolsKit or just the .cab. I see that it works better with my phone if I install using an .exe file from my computer.
