is there a way to change icon for some apps?

Yes indeed.
I do it as follows:

First, I use Microangelo to create an .ICL file with a few icons I like.
:: Use 48x48, 32x32 and 16x16 at 256 color only. ::
I Connect the Q to my PC and copy the .ICL to the Windows directory.
Browse to the Start Menu folder of the Windows directory.
Find the shortcut to modify.
Copy it to the PC.
Drop it into Notepad.
You will see:
22#:MSTNOTES

You can specify the icon to use as follows:
22#:MSTNOTES?myicons.icl,-3

myicons.icl is the name of the file I created and -3 means the icon with ID number 3. It's the third icon.

That's it. I've modified damn near every one of my icons using this technique and it's muy sexy..

Thanks to you both.
The majority of my icons have been pulled from Vista honestly.
I could certainly bundle them up into a single library and post it.
In fact, I will!

This icon library reflects a couple of my collections; 21 icons in all. Basically Vista icons with the Alpha Channel icons pulled out as well as the other sizes that just aren't needed. Hope you enjoy!

thanks for sharing... did you mention Microangelo, many moons ago i used it to edit/change icons, they were at version 5, where are they now ?

My pleasure!
And yes, Microangelo is still what I use.
They're up to "Toolset 6" now, and it's quite a handy addition to the Modders toolbox.
