Don't you have to edit the registry to get custom mp3's as ring tones, or is there a way you don't have to?
This is how I do it, and it's fairly simple.
Open the registry editor (duh)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Sounds - scroll to the bottom, open AllSounds and Ringtones.
Those are the values/keys for the ring tone list.
Just add the mp3/midi, etc, to windows directory, and rename to something simple, then add that to the list's (keys/values)
I put lazy town - wake up as my alarm clock. Song is a very annoying little kid song - excellent for an alarm ;)
