Default Charging Issues

For some unkown reason, my Q9H global from AT&T has stopped displaying the cable plugged connected symbol in the top toolbar. Normally, this would not really bother me; when I synch to my computer everything works fine, but the phone does not seem to charge all the time. The same goes for when the phone is just plugged into the charger. I have tried unplugging, and plugging back in, and restarting my PC (WIN XP) & Q a million times. One out of ten times it works as normal. I have PHM, rescoe and have performed many of the "essential" hacks...they all work. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome. I did not know that icon can disappear. Mine just simply looks like an electric cord is plugged in when its connected to my laptop and I figured that was normal.

Anyone know why this would disappear on someone's device? I have the same phone as you, so I would like to know this just in case.

Mine just did the same thing, I came home this evening and plugged into charger and the icon showing the plugged in didn't show tried the car charger same thing... left plugged in for hour thinking that it was me and now the phone is completely dead!! will not charge, is not charged just a fancy black paperweight. This is my only phone so as of now I have no communication with the outside world. I will be stopping in Verizon in the morning.

Make sure you are plugging into a port that is capable of charging. Not all USB are good candidates for this, ports I mean. At least make sure you have 1.1 or higher.

this has happened to me from time to time. Usually fixed by a restart though.
