Wifi Card

I just ordered a the sdw822 off of ebay...kinda nervous...but anyways..how do i make sure that i don't use data when i go on the internet? i know this has been asked before but i didnt really understand the response.

do you use verizons data at all? if not then call or emial them and have them out a data block on your number.
if yes, then go to hacks section and look for the hack that will password protect your data so you will know when your using it

Hey can someone walk me through all the steps of installing the wifi card? i've been on the computer for 2 hours trying to install it with no success. this is getting frustrating. i downloaded two different .cab files online and tried them. one of them failed and one installed successfully, but i still don't see anything that has to do with wifi. Help would be MUCH MUCH appreciated.

You have a Q9m...Right? Spectec card for Q9m is SDW-822.(wlan 802.11 b) Is that the one you have? If so I have the correct Driver Cab. It's wlan11b_wm60.CAB. I can post a link to it in my files I think. Just let me know.

Here is the link to the Driver that works on my Q9m. Always pick install to device when installing drivers. Settings/Connections/Wi-Fi Power settings allows you to set time out. With the right driver and card it should auto start, search prompt to enter your wifi link code or connect to an unsecure link.

If the wifi card is in.......You will be using the wifi connection...I posted the Driver for SDW822 / Q9m on your other thread.

Ya i have the 9m. Thank you soooooo much that's exactly what i needed. now the wifi card works perfectly!

ok i still have yet to get my card but is SDW-822 really the only one that will work with the q9m? i mean will something like this work?

I know that it is the one recomended for the Q9m. wether others will work I don't know.Check spectec web site. I bought mine on eBay for about that same price.
