Using iTips car charger - Motorola Q Forum

I got a charging cradle for my q9m that works fine via USB. If I plug the power cord in, I get a "This is not a Motorola charger" message on my q and it won't charge. I have an iTip charger in my car and I'm thinking about buying a new tip for my q... but I'm afraid I'm going to get the same error message. Anyone here use iTips for their q? Don't want to spend the $10 if it isn't going to work.

I get the same message using the car charger that Moto sent with my phone. It does charge though.

Well, I went ahead and bought a new tip for my charger and it works great. No "incompatible" messages.
