Default Trouble with Gmail (again)

Hi guys,

I have Gmail setup as IMAP. I have never sent email from my phone before through Gmail, but now that i have tried, it does not work. Keeps giving me the message: "The message(s) cannot be sent. Be certain that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct and then try again." Now, i definetly have network coverage. I can receive email, just not send. Help!!

It happens every once in awhile. You might want to try deleting the account on your Q and setting it up again.

I deleted the account and put it back on and still the same thing.

I did follow the instructions on the Gmail website. I have had Gmail on my phone for quite awhile. However, i don't remember if i have ever sent anything from Gmail off of my phone. It is receiving the emails just fine, just not sending them.

in the advanced setting, there is 2 boxes that need to be checked. I can't remember what they were called.

Port # might be the problem. I did not put one. How do i find out what the number is? Username and password are good to go.

I never put a port in. I started the set up with g@g for the email address to bypass the auto set up, the rest is on the gmail site.
