Default Sync Speed

I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for so I apologize in advance if it's listed somewhere. Wondering if there is a transfer speed setting for the USB somewhere. I haven't paid much attention, but recently, I got a Sansa View device and I noticed how much faster is syncs with Windows Media. A sync of about 2G of my audio library today on the phone took almost an hour! By contrast, I put that same content on the sansa in just a couple minutes.

Any thoughts? Getting close to my 1 year anniv. with this phone. Hard to believe.

Default I noticed the same thing . . .

However, since I store all my media on an SD card, I just use my SD card reader. Annoying in the fact that I have to tell WMP to update it's library instead of letting it take place during a sync through the phone, and then clean up after b/c it is not picky about adding all the other media files that aren't in the Music directory, but the speed difference is so measurable that it is worth the effort.

However, that is with a straight sync with WMP on the computer to the SD card through the phone. I suspect the data bus on the phone to the SD card does not support the same throughput as a regular USB connection when combined with WMP on the phone.

I have not tried to do the same thing with an ActiveSync conduit though, and don't have the opportunity to test as I type this. That might make a difference.
