Sync Problems

Hello All,
First, THANKS! for all of the great info here.
My issue is that I'm trying to sync my contacts and calendar and it won't allow me. I have Vista, which uses Windows Contacts and Windows Calendar instead of outlook, and I'm trying to use Windows Mobile Device Center. I found where I check what I want to sync, but it won't allow me to check the box for anything other than Files and Mobile Favorites. Anything I can do?

Hi. I do not have your answer. I am here to join in on this as I am having the exact same problem. Help.

I have Windows XP. Installed Active Sync. Everything went fine except for it wouldn't let me sync anything Office related - ie; everything I want to synch - contacts, memo, calendar, etc.

This is contrary to what I have read around here. I understood that if I want to synch without involving Office I should use Active Sync.

those items wont sync with windows mobile device center
you need outlook not windows contacts and calendar

So what is the best way to sync my contacts and calendar? Do I need to buy another program?

my opinion best way is outlook
but there are other ways such as...google calendar and the google syncing program (which is free)
