Default Speed dials

I have been reading a lot here how you can set applications to a speed dial # by selecting the app then simply hitting menu then set speed dial. My question is - does this not work on the Q9m? When I highlight/select an application (like let's say task mngr) from the start menu, I can not select menu at all.

Even when I go into the file mngr and select an app and then hit menu there is no set spped dial option.

Am I missing something here? Is this not available on the Q9m? I'd love to be able to use this feature.

Thanks! E.

all you do is scroll over the app you want to add as a speed dial then hit the right soft key

So I want to add the alarm clock as a speed dial but can not find the alarm clock application listed anywhere.......

The only place I can find it is in Settings/Clock and Alarm/Alarm but no place to add a speed dial.

Thanks.

I don't think you can do this with the built in alarm. That being said it might be just as well as some have reported that the built in alarm has a negative effect on battery life. Most suggest a third party app which would be available as a speed dial. Many are free while some of the more sophisticated cost a small fee.

I use a couple of free ones: CTalarmclock Lite and AlarmMaster Beta.

A quick search will find a lot of these...good luck.

This is what I've been reading and this is what I try to do and nothing. The right soft key is inactive.

When I got to the apps through the file mngr I can hit the right soft key and pull up a menu but there is no speed dial option.
