Spectec Wifi cards

Through searching here I read in numerous places that the spectec SDW-822 will work for the 9m, but some have had issues.

Will this one work? Anyone try it?

Spectec makes a chip specifically for the Q9m: http://www.spectec.com.tw/motoq.htm

Maybe this is why I kept seeing conflicting information when I searched.

Just a quick update for people when they search. This card works perfectly for me. I put spectec's software on my phone, plugged in the card, and was online within 5 minutes.

Just make sure you get the Moto Q version and you're set

I'm curious what the difference is between the Q one and the "regular" one. I have never seen the Q specific one before and just assumed it was $10 more because most sellers do that when they market a product specifically for a certain device.

Is there anything actually different that makes it $10 more? Both say they will work with WM 6.0...

...the Micro SD wifi card, and used the adapter included with the Q9m, would the card stick out at all? Trying to avoid having something sticking out like with the Spectec Mini SD most people are using.

I don't think the micro is available for sale yet and you may be right. Your would think they would put a different part no. if the Q one was different. Then again, why take a chance for $10.and the Chinese don't always adhere to the same numbering and instructional info we do.

Because I would hate to waste $10 because their marketing scheme of saying the Q one is different (not saying it isn't, I don't know). Maybe I'll try to contact them and ask the differences.

Good luck..I think if you ask them they are going to of course tell you they are different. All marketers tell lies to back up there other lies. The only way to really tell if the cheaper one works is either try it or get verification from another user.

Yes I know, but I will ask what exactly the difference in specifications is.

I would hope that the difference is that the Moto Q version does not stick out of the slot like the standard version does, but I'm not reassured by the pic they have on their homepage:
