Service disappears after a call or text

Hello all, Ive been searching for a while for an answer to my problem but havent found anything yet.

I have a q9m. For the last few weeks whenever i make or receive a call or text, the phone loses service. The line on the home screen that usually says "Verizon Wireless" disappears as well. I scroll to where that line is (its blank) click on it and turn the phone off and back on right away. service returns right away.

That solves the problem untill i get another call. At first i didnt notice it happening and i would get a few texts all at once like they were sitting in que or something. Ive done the latest updates on the phone but it didnt help.

If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

try the *228 and option 2 to update your roaming
if not that then give vzw a call

Wow, you guys are quick. I tried the *228 roam option. I made a couple quick calls and texts and service has stayed. I think that fixed the issue.
