Exclamation problems with my first smartphone.

okay so i bought my Q9m from Best Buy yesterday, and i get home and try and sync it to my activesync, and windows media player. I am using the USB that came with the phone, and when i connect my phone to my computer, i get a message saying "Critical communications services have failed to start. Try resetting the mobile device and try again. I have tried reseting my PC, my mobile device, and a verizon rep asked me to uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync but for some reason its just not reading it. They tried troubleshooting it themselves, even though i've tried every troubleshooter possible, and searched random forums of the Q. I can't seem to figure out whats wrong. I am at the time also having troubles with sending picture messages, at times it will say "Could not send all the messages." and as of right now thats all it will say. I am becoming very frustrated with the reoccurring troubles this is causing me, and soon i think i'll regret even buying it. If you guys have any info whatsoever i will be grateful that you have gave me your time.

actually i ran this clean up winsock xp fix
and it had me reboot my computer, but it also uninstalled my iolo firewall.
my mom is going to be pretty upset when she finds out, but i'm guessing that was the problem, but now its syncing to my computer and to my media player. any reason why my device would say "not able to download all the messages" or "not able to send all the messages"?

thanks for all your help :D

It is possible to run a firewall, you just need to set it so that active sync is able to access the phone.
