Default playing ringtones in Windows Media

hey all,
when i try to play ringtones that are in the application/sound folder in windows media...nothing sound comes out...but when i get a txt message or a phone call they ring...is there a reason for this?

For the heck of it, push IN on the scroll wheel until the voulume bar pops up. Then, scroll up. See if this works.

so that didnt work...i also noticed that if you go to media player and click menu/open file...and browse to the ApplicationData folder...the Sounds folder is not present...but if you use the file browser...the folder is there (but the file still doesnt play...this is the issue i am having)...could this be the reason???
