Default Outgoing mail in the inbox?

Not sure if this is a repost, if it is I apologize.

My problem is, when I send email from my gmail address via my PC, the email automatically shows up in the inbox on my Q. Not sure why, but are there any fixes anyone knows of? I send a lot of mail, and I don't need copies of them on my phone, they just take up space.

Thanks in advance.

You may want to set your account up as an IMAP account on your Q. Instructions are over on the Gmail page and in a couple of threads here.

Okay, i set up the IMAP, and it seems to be working as stated. However, now I have 2 accts. on my Q which are both checking the same gmail acct. (The outlook mail, and the new Gmail acct.) Any way to disable or better yet remove the Outlook app? I don't use it at home so I won't be missing anything.

Thanks again.

How did you set up the first account? Was it not separate from the "Outlook" account like the IMAP one is now?

No...It is the outlook acct. When I try to delete the acct. it won't let me. Is there any way to stop it from checking? or can I somehow delete the outlook acct.? Now my homescreen reads 2 whenever i get a new gmail...haha.

OK, how about this: with your Outlook inbox open, click on Menu-->Tools-->Options-->Account Settings. Can you edit it there to remove the old Gmail account?

I changed the server address to "xxxx.xxx.com", and made all the passwords "xxx". I also unchecked all the boxes on the "choose data to synchronize:" screen. However, the emails keep coming. Maybe I should try a reset?

I'm curious to know how you set up the first account in the first place. Normally, when you set up Gmail and you let the Q handle it automatically, it creates a separate account, and the email does not come through the "Outlook E-Mail" account. Or am I misunderstanding your setup?

Tell you the truth, I think I set up the email through outlook via my PC. It was a while ago and I don't exactly remember. I didn't set up a new acct. like I just did with the IMAP. However, I think the new settings may have kicked in since my most recent email didn't show up in the Outlook folder....I tried a soft reset by taking out the battery. Hopefully this will work. BTW this IMAP is so much better.

Thanks Again
