  1. Did we agree that there is or there is not Digital Dialing?
  2. What about the On-Screen dialing? How hard should this be?
no there is not...your options are:
1. voice dial
2. feel for the numbers
3. look at the device

The built in Voice Dialing app has digit dialing in it.
#2 probably doesn't have enough demand for someone to develop it.
Scrolling/ moving the dpad to select a digit is cumbersome in my opinion.

Give it a few weeks and you can type by feel. The Q1 has a handy "bump" in the middle of the number section just for this. Pretty sure the fancy pants Q9's have something simmilar.

if your from NY or CT you shouldn't be worried about this because "cell phones are prohibited while operating a motor vehicle". there is more states I just don't know or care about them.

Hey, Tony...Bluetooth (or wired earphone) in NY is considered hands free. They don't want you holding the phone to your ear with your hand/neck/headband/etc...They are now talking about making a law against texting while driving (well, DUH!!!). Hard to believe they didn't do that years ago when they instituted the "hands free" law. (Hands Free law actually states : NY State Law requires you to by hands free when speaking on a mobile phone. (that is why earphones/blue tooth sets/ and through the speakers are ok...)

Can you imagine a law that said NOTHING about texting while driving??New York, Yew York, it's a hell of a town...

kind of like the old law in NJ that said if you see someone driving while on the phone you are to report it (before BT was invented). So um in NJ you have to break the law to report to someone breaking the law.
