My Q9m Unexpectedly Shuts Down

Hi All,

Lately my Q9m has been unexpectedly shutting down for no reason. Its only happened 2-3 times and I'm not sure why.

Has this happened to anyone else? If so were you able to figure out why it was happening and how to fix it?

I just got my Q9c yesterday and it shut off once last night and again in the middle of the night. I called Sprint this morning and they told me this is a known issue with this device and they're working on it. They're giving me a new one this morning.

Can be a bad battery, low memory, or defective device.

SKlite is a good memory utility and can be had here....

Thanks Mike; I didn't think about the battery being bad and was just going to go to the Sprint store and ask to keep my current batt (to avoid having to re charge it).

Another thing that it keeps doing is every couple of minutes the screen will light up on its own...is this normal?

depends, mine does when switching from 1x to EVDO, polling email, sometimes when switching towers...so it's kinda normal

Yes, mine does it too when I'm either reading email or just browsing the internet.

mine does this every now and then.
It usually is caused by third party software.....Redo the phone and it will clean it up....
