welcome aboard...

there are Q's out there with that issue for sure, can you exchange it ? that is pretty much the best & quickest "fix".

yes, just shutting running programs is not the fix for this issue.. you could for the moment do a Master Reset (you will loose everything you did to the phone unless you backup), that brings the phone back to out of the box status but if the phone has been restarting from the get-go then that might not be the solution either.

Default Thanks!

Just got back from verizon they just gave me a new one no questions asked! They seemed to indicate they are aware of this problem about just shutting off so now back to customization hopefully for the last time!
Thanks so much Rudeboy!!!!

My Q9M is now randomly shutting down. Only way to re-start is removing the battery and powering up. It has happened several times a day with a charged battery. I tried a new battery and same thing. Hate to have to get a new one and re-load, configure, etc. allover. Anyone else seeing this?

I don't have a Q9, but my Q was doing the same thing.. I simply took it back, although I hate to reload and customize everything again... this one seems to be working much better.

I had the same issue with my q's. I really believe it was a battery issue not the phone. But by going in to the Verizon store and getting them to give me so many replacements, they finally just upgradede me to the Q9M for free. But I would bet your having battery issues my friend. My Q's would let me send a text, then I'd pick it up to send a text say 10 mins later and I would have to power it back on.

Thanks, I initially thought battery issue also, but it has happened with two different batteries (both with charges).
