No, it's not normal...
You should do yourself a favor and just get TCPMP. It's a far better media player than WMP, and it's free. You can get it from either Rudeboy's or N99hockey's apps pages.
It has an audio boost, as well as an equalizer in settings...which you can up the preamp in and it will boom your ears off!!... lol

While were on the subject, is there an equilizer for the WMA on the phone? Sometimes I plug in my phone to my cd player in my car and listen to the songs but they all sound...distant...like their trying to sing into a plastic cup.

And before I get any SMA (smarta$$ answers) yes everythings plugged in corectly, and no its not a bad cable.

that happens to us when media player is not properly configured...meaning media players volume is too low or the coverter for the cable is not "snapped" into place. not sma comment...mine is workin like a charm in the truck.
