 |  long time listener.... [e-mail question!] first time caller. i was wondering if any of you whiz kids knew why i can receive e-mail on my Q9m but i cannot send it. I use yahoo's free e-mail account, does that have anything to do with it? i own a Q9m (obviously) with a 4gb microSD through Verizon wireless. I'm not really sure if this is this a problem on their end or mine? i hope you cats & kittens can help me avoid the madness that a cell phone store full of tweeners can become. from the 'burbs (yuck!), V.  [p.s.: is there a mobile 6.1 update for the Q9m? is it worth it/necessary?]

| huh, just checked my unused yahoo account, and it's telling me that the only way to get POP access is to upgrade to one of the pay accounts.... I suppose there is yahoo go though...

|  checkiddy check my email thanks for the info. i was messing around with my email settings last night. i tried checking require SSL for outgoing. i tried sending a msg and it said SSL unavailable, then another warning about how the mssage cannot be sent. the test email was a gibberish email addressed to myself. i went to sleep pissed at the error messages, and when i woke up i had received the msg...on computer and phone. what happened there?

| working all of the sudden i was using some sort of beta version yahoo had out (read too much silly animation & design). i reset my account on my Q several times. the i looked through my options on Yahoo! i clicked 'switch to classic' in my options, and now all the sudden the shit is working again. i'll let you guys know if it bombs out though. danka.
