Question I don't understand...

So Verizon just released the Q9C device today...

What is the difference other than casing between the Q9C and the Q9M?...And the reason I ask this is because the Q9M retails for 340 dollars while the Q9C retails for 420 dollars.

Also...do either of these phones support threaded text messaging? I heard that the new windows mobile update supports threaded texting...

Thanks guys!!

In theory there is little difference between the two, other than the music crap (as N99 puts it). The Q9c is in general a more business oriented phone. So far Verizon has not decided to offer an upgrade to WM 6.1 for any of their phones, and neither natively support threaded text. Altthough it can be done with third party software.

So why is the one like 70 dollars more than the other? The C stripped out most of the multimedia like Vcast and crap I heard...but that still doesn't explain a price rise of 70 bucks when that would make it go down...hmm...I wonder if I can pick one up cheaper somehow.

probably just because the Q9c is newer. With sprint, when the 9c came out it was selling for the same retail price as the Q1 ($450). Maybe Verizon (at some level) is trying to drive the sales of the Q9m instead of the Q9c...

Possibly...I like the Q9M more anyways...I think the red styling is cool but the C just sounds fresher and more of a power device...even though I still feel that the Qs are not power devices..

essentially, the Q9c is for business users while the Q9m is more consumer oriented. other than the obvious physical differences and the lack of media features, the only major difference is the Q9c has VZW Navigator, while the Q9m has no gps
