Help! Q9M Soooo Sluggish After Texting or Sending MMS

If I text or send MMS mail, my phone becomes practically unusable. It's so sluggish and it takes forever for all the menus to come up once selected. I've gotten the latest updates, deleted and uninstalled several programs and it's still doing it. I have to remove the battery and restart for it to start functioning normally again. I love to text and send emails and I can't right now. Verizon isn't much help, sadly. I've just had this phone since January and I really don't want to do a master reset. Anyone else had this problem?

try turning predictive text off and clearing the input history ( go to start > settings > text input settings)
also are you using SK-tools?

The predictive text is never on. I'll clear the input history. What are SK tools? If I'm using them, I don't know it. Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry. How do you clear the input history?

on your phone, press the right soft key and select start > settings > text input settings. the option to clear the input history is there.
SK-tools, is a program that will clear out your temporary files and generally keep your phone running smoothly (it's on rudeboy's apps page)

Wow. Thanks for the help. I would have done a search on this but the search box was showing up behind the ad banner. I've done all you suggested and so far so good. I must invest in a memory card. That should cut down on problems, as well. I'm going to save my pics and then get them off the phone as I have quite a bit. Fingers crossed it stays good.

hey, no problem. just like a PC, WinMo needs a little upkeep to keep running well. once you get the hang of that you'll be fine
