Default HELP! how do I get contacts?

OK.. ive had my Q since march, and im on my 6th one.. im kinda mad that I actualy just did the master reset again for the 3rd? time I believe, I was having the super lag, slowness problem for the past 3days so I just reset it since vrzn couldnt help, I found this board like a month ago looking for how to customize my Q and I remember seeing that with the Q you couldnt use vrzn backup assitant shit, you have to use outlook which I dont have, so I read that you save a copy of the pim.vol and then that stores your contacts.. I have done that, rest it about 3hrs ago, and then used the fix for the lag issues, now I dont know how to get my contacts, when I try to past the old pim.vol it says its in use and doesnt go any farther, what do I have to do?

did you search ?

copy the pim.vol to a temp directory/folder on the Q,
from there overwrite the one in the root (i suggest using Resco or Total Commander)
then power cycle the Q..
voila.

yes, power cycle is restart... make sure the one with the information is in the root of the device, not in any folder.

the upper level, where you see all the directories... that's the root, so NO \Windows.. 1 "level" higher.
