System Tools or Repair headphones for the MOTO Q9M

Hello everyone...I am beating my head against the wall trying to figure out the deal with the 9Qm with headphones. I have a usb adapter but the music still comes out of the phone speakers....I have a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter which I have tried in the usb adapter (doesn't work) and then in the phone jack( only works if you don't plug it all the way in. If you plug it all the way in it comes out of one side)

It is driving me crazy and I keep reading to look for 3 stripes on the adapter or 4 .....what is the deal? I just want to listen to music with both my ears.

Can anyone help?

You need to look for an adpater with three stripes, which means it has 4 conductors (left ear, right ear, microphone, and common).
The Q9m doesn't support USB audio, which is why you need the 2.5 mm to 3.5mm adapter, which can be found here in the EQ store)

Thanks....I will check that out. I looked at my adapter and it only has 2 stripes.

Yeah, that's the one you would find most of the time (stereo only).
the reason you only get one side of the ssoound if it's plugged in all of the way is that on the phone's setup the contacts are shifted slightly from the standard stereo setup. The adapters here @ EQ allow you to use standard headphones(one of the adapters has a built in mic), there are also stereo headsets availale.

those are the ones (the 3 insulator stripes separate the 4 conductors).
