Check your firewall settings. I know that sometimes my computer will not see something I have attached until I allow it through the firewall.

Default Still going

Just checking in. It's been over a month and my Q9M is still running like a champ because of this fix.

Autoclean which is part of the SKTools Lite suite is a must every now and again, but my phone never gets bogged down like it used to.

I can't get my phone to be recognized by msu.exe, the Motorola software update app. The e-mail from tech support said to boot the phone up in bootloader mode and then try connecting it, but that wouldn't work either.

If there is an update out there, I'd love to get it and would also love to find out HOW to get it.

Will see and keep hoping that the clear text method keeps my phone running...thanks!

Default Software Update?

BTW, I never did the update. My phone's stability is all based on the fact that I disabled the autocomplete/correct feature.

I don't feel like reloading all of my apps. So, I won't be doing an update until Motorola makes it worth my while. He's hoping 6.1 will see the light of day on the Q9m before I get a new phone.

I had to turn of my firewall in order for my update to work.

Has anyone tried just occassionally clearing the predictive text cache, and leaving it enabled?

If there was a way something like CT Scheduler could be made to do it, that would solve the freeze issue and allow you to keep predictive text enabled.
