Default Dust inside the screen? Any way to clean?

I just got my motorola Q9m like 3 weeks ago and I already got dust particles trapped right under the screen. Is there any way of getting rid of it like using those air sprays for keyboards/desktops? Or should I buy insurance and say something is wrong with it. =X. HELP!

welcome aboard.. wow, that's quick.. got mine ~10 months and no dust whatsoever. i read where people just pop off the screen (as far as i know it is glued in place).. do a search here and also on Qusers.com, you might run into the thread.

That post talks about the Old Q housing and how to change etc. The Q9m is different. I too have a little dust under the screen. I'm a little apprehensive to take the screen off. I did this with the old Q and it kept getting worse and worse and the screen would barely stick to the phone. I only notice the dust when the display is off so I will probably just live with it. If it's gets too bad I'll get a replacement phone before I attempt to clean it from the screen, its just to much of a pain in the arss. But for now I don't have a clue and have not seen any info pertaining to disassembling the Q9m screen.

*SNIP*
i kinda figured the Q9 was (more) similar to the Q1... i would contact maybe Motorola, you paid enough and should not have to deal with dust in the screen..

I just looked at my Q9's screen and low and behold, there's dust in the lower right hand corner of the screen. This is my second Q9m. I returned the 1st Q9m to Verizon because the same thing happened, but after three weeks, the dust had migrated in a fan shape across the whole screen starting at the lower right hand side just like this one. . . . . . . I always keep the phone in it's case and never never put it in my pocket. Maybe I live in a dusty home in a dusty area of the country (NOT) . . . . . I think we may have a generic problem with dust on the Q9m. . . . . . I hope not but I'm concerned about dust after only 2 weeks. . . . . .

I took off the protecter layers on my 9m.. I can show you guys a pic when i get home from work.. but there is a plastic layer and then a glass layer over the screen. The dust is between the glass and screen. It might be possible to take the phone apart and clean it from the back side. I personaly like it with no cover. The image is clearer, and i pay 5 bucks a month for insurance on the phone.. so if it does get scratched, looks like someone is reporting a phone lost.

I had dust in my screen coming in from both sides. I took a can of compressed air and put the straw right up along the edge of the screen and it blew the dust out or at least dispersed it so it no longer was visible. You might want to give that a try before prying off the glass.

Changing the subject just a LITTLE: I'm having trouble with scratches on my screen & don't know why. I've owned a Treo for years and never had any scratches. Any help knowing what to do or if this is a problem inherent with Q9M?
